Kelly Clarkson to take over Ellen slot on daytime TV as Ellen prepares to leave her show

As E! News previously reported, Ellen has made the decision to end The Ellen DeGeneres Show after she concluded filming the rest of season 19. The show will end in 2022. Ellen is very sad about the show ending but believes it is the right time, she says “The past 18 years, you have to know, has changed my life. You all have changed my life. And I am forever grateful to all of you for watching, for laughing, for dancing, sometimes crying,” the comedian said while tearing up on air. “This show has been the greatest experience of my life, and I owe it all to you. So, thank you, thank you, thank you.”

With Ellen’s show coming to an end, there is that prime time time slot that needs to be filled and who other than Kelly Clarkson to do the job. Executive VP at NBC Universal says “The Kelly Clarkson Show is one of the most optimistic success stories in first-run syndication,” “Kelly and the entire production team put their heart, intent and incredible passion into making a show that resonates with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, They are working on some big plans for season three and are looking forward to becoming the premier show in daytime for years to come.”
