Thrown at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, the glittering event is held in honor of those who have made accomplishments in math and science, with each awardee getting $3 million, according to a press release.

But in spite of its focus outside of showbiz, the swank gala reliably draws a cavalcade of A-list celebrities to troupe across the red carpet and hand out the prizes.
Hosted by James Corden, this year’s formal affair drew a formidable audience of boldface names, including none other than Margot, who was decked out in a swirling black gown.

Fresh off the thunderous billion-dollar triumph of her Barbie movie last year, Margot glowed while treating the photographers to her luminous smile on the red carpet.

Her plunging bias-cut frock allowed her to flash a bit of cleavage, and was perfectly fitted to throw the A Most Violent Year star’s slender physique into sharp relief.

She complemented the dress with dark nail polish and ramped up the glitz factor by accessorizing with a dazzling bejeweled drop necklace for her latest night out on the town.

Olivia on the other hand flashed the flesh in a peekaboo gown that featured a dangerously high thigh-slit, allowing to her not only to flash a bit of leg but also to hint at her derriere.

With cutouts at the sides to play up her taut midriff, Olivia’s turtleneck dress was a monochrome affair, with black at the front and white at the back, in contrast to her blood-red nail polish.
