DESCRIPTION:
Arizona grown WILLOW ACACIA desert hardwood is uniquely hand-crafted and custom designed from weathered-down trees found in the suburban metropolitan Phoenix area. By acquiring desert hardwood logs from tree services and individuals allows me to create 100% sustainable, repurposed live edge wood designs. This prevents some logs from being taken to the landfill. Both sides of the wood go to a router sled table to obtain desired flat surface and thickness. As the wood ages, noticeable cracks on the wood may appear due to its natural dry cracking process and changes in humidity and temperature. Any voids or cracks from the wood are sealed with epoxy to maintain the integrity of the wood.
OIL FINISH:
Hand rubbed finish using OLD MASTERS gel polyurethane clear satin gel and carnauba paste wax.
FRACTAL ART:
A process of applying 20,000 volts of electricity to the wood surface recreating a lightning strike in slow motion as well as unique abstract figures, tree and vein like shapes. It is sealed with high grade table top epoxy inlay.

EPOXY COLOR:
Epoxy inlay with clear or color pigment is also use to seal the burns created during fractal art process on the surface of the wood.
