Parenting is hard, full stop. Yes, there are things that make it harder — like not having a partner or facing financial difficulties or raising a child with health issues. There are also things that make it easier, obviously, but that doesn’t mean parenting is easy. Because it’s not. (And if it feels like you’ve got it all figured out, it’s probably because your kids have already grown up and moved out.) Even celebrity parents are allowed to feel this way, despite having access to more privileges than most people do. Yet, instead of coming together as a community and helping each other, some people look down on moms who complain about anything just because others have it worse. News flash: It’s not a competition!..
Kim Kardashian is refusing to feel shamed about how much she struggles with being a single mom to her four kids after her divorce from ex Kanye West, and we can definitely understand where she’s coming from.

The SKIMS founder appeared on Zoe Winkler’s What’s the Winkler podcast on Tuesday, where she opened up about the “judgement” she’s received from parenting, and “feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone,” despite having a “great support system,” per Us Weekly.
“But sometimes in the middle of the night,” she continued, “when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself.”

As a mom of three, I feel for her! Even small moments when I’m with my kids and my husband is at work can feel impossibly hard. And not being able to complain or talk about those moments without getting judged and feeling like you aren’t appreciative enough would be so isolating!..
Kardashian, who is mom to North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with West, filed for divorce in Feb. 2021 after almost seven years of marriage. Since then, Yeezy has remarried to Bianca Censori. West and Kardashian have had a tumultuous co-parenting relationship through the years, both publicly and privately, and she is currently doing the bulk of parenting herself right now.
“I mean even carpool this morning, I had five kids that I had to take,” The Kardashians star continued. “And everyone wants to leave at, like, different times or wants different stuff. And I feel like I’m at, like, a pit stop of a race car driver.”
Kardashian admitted that parenting is “the most rewarding job in the entire world,” she also called it “full madness.” Kardashian added, “It’s like I always have to do one of my daughter’s hair — and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way — and then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. … It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild.”
Later, she vulnerably shared, “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f—ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened? You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there. Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop.”
